There were a lot of reports that claimed that the girl on the packet is Neeru Deshpandey from Nagpur. However, a few days ago a post on Quora had a user who actually asked who the Parle G kid actually is.

The anonymous post adds that the picture was clicked when she was 4 years 3 months old. Then there's another source, Parle-G's Wikipedia page that comes up with the name Gunjan Gundaniya.

Parle-G started as a competition brand to Jacob’s Biscuit from UK in 1929. Before the independence, as people didn’t have enough money to buy these English Biscuits, they started buying cheaper Indian biscuits.First factory was established in Vile Parle, Mumbai, and that’s how it got the name Parle. Some say that Chauhans, Gujarati Family who started it called it Parle based on Gujarati word Para, meaning Suburb.

Initially a yellow wax paper was used to cover the biscuits (See the image below). Now a days, it’s being wrapped in Plastic Paper.
